Privacy Policy Overview

This documentation outlines the Privacy Policy applicable to information collected by this website and details the protocols and procedures adopted by BD Energy A/S (henceforth referred to as "the Company") concerning the acquisition, recording, organization, storage, disclosure, modification, and deletion (collectively, "processing") of personal data related to identifiable individuals. This policy is crafted in alignment with the prevailing European data protection regulation, GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation), emphasizing the safeguarding of personal information.

Data Collection Practices

As the data controller, the Company engages in the collection of personal data through interactions with individuals via electronic communications or telephone regarding matters pertinent to the Company's operations. The types of personal data processed include but are not limited to names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, job titles, and positions. The Company abstains from processing any special categories of personal data (also referred to as sensitive personal data).

Cookie Usage

The Company employs cookies to gather personal data from visitors to its website, tracking online behavior and interactions. This includes the collection of IP addresses, details regarding the operating system, mobile device specifications, browser type, and online activity on the website, contingent upon the user's acceptance of cookies. Initial website access prompts a request for cookie consent, with a refusal limiting cookie usage to only those necessary for website functionality, potentially diminishing the user experience. Removal of installed cookies is achievable through the browser's data clearing function.

Personal Data Disclosure

The Company may share personal data with its affiliates, vendors, business partners, and other third parties for business purposes. Disclosure may also occur in legal contexts, where personal data is necessary for the Company's legal defenses, shared with advisors, consultants, or pertinent third parties under lawful and necessary circumstances. Sub-processors of personal data engage under agreements that ensure GDPR compliance.

International Data Transfers

Transfers of personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA are conducted under strict contractual safeguards to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws, including adherence to standard contractual clauses.

Data Retention

The retention period for personal data is limited to the duration necessary for fulfilling its collection purpose, followed by deletion. Specifically, phone conversation recordings with traders are kept for six months, extendable under certain conditions to document legal claims. Data related to bookkeeping, such as invoices, is retained for five years in accordance with Danish bookkeeping retention rules, with extensions as required by other jurisdictions' laws.
